Exposed DC is excited to announce that we are partnering with Focus on the Story and Lost Origins Gallery to present the 15th annual Exposed DC Photography Show in an outdoor installation in Mount Pleasant. The exhibit will be installed on the exterior wall of Ellē restaurant at 3221 Mt Pleasant St NW. A special celebration of the 2021 Exposed DC photography show will take place on Sunday, June 6 at 3 p.m. as part of the kickoff for the fourth annual Focus on the Story International Photo Festival.
Photo walks will take place in Mount Pleasant before the opening, and later that evening Glen Echo Photoworks will present their annual Photo Slam competition, livestreamed from Lost Origins Gallery.
Since 2006, Exposed DC has produced our annual show to shine a spotlight on life in the D.C. metro area as seen through the lenses of some of the region’s most passionate amateur photographers and professionals alike. The show includes unique takes on the capital’s iconic locations, as well as everyday scenes captured outside of the tourist bubble. You can preview this year’s winning images here.
The outdoor exhibition will run for three weeks, closing on Sunday, June 27. The Exposed DC team is also exploring additional, creative ways to share these images celebrating the Washington, D.C. area to ensure increased accessibility and safe opportunities to view the show. Stay tuned for updates on our events and exhibition news!
