#2023XDC Giveaway & Instagram Contest

May 25, 2023 By exposeddc

The 2023 Exposed DC Photography Show opens at Lost Origins Outside in the alley next to Ellē in Mount Pleasant on Sunday, June 4. Join us for an opening celebration from 3-6 p.m. The exhibition will be on view throughout the summer.

From the beginning, Exposed DC’s primary focus has been to celebrate local photography. Our annual show is curated from a contest to reflect the city we live in today. We’d love to see and hear about how these photos resonate with you. As such, we’re excited to have some prizes to give away in conjunction with our show and with thanks to our sponsors! This year, there are two opportunities to win a prize from Capital Photography Center, Aperturent, or Nations Photo Lab. See below for all the details.

Opening Celebration Giveaway

At the opening celebration, attendees aged 18 or older will have the opportunity to enter a giveaway. A total of ten winners will be selected at random from all entries. Each will receive a $50 gift certificate to either Aperturent or Nations Photo Lab.

Terms & Conditions

The giveaway is open to residents of Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland who are 18 years of age or older, excluding anyone from the Exposed DC team, their families, or anyone professionally connected with the organizations participating. A total of ten prizes will be awarded to ten attendees of the opening celebration: five $50 gift certificates to Aperturent and five $50 gift certificates to Nations Photo Lab. The drawing will take place shortly after the opening with winners notified via email by June 6. No purchase necessary to enter or win.

Instagram Contest

We invite you to share your own images taken at this year’s show for the chance to win a $100 gift certificate to Capital Photography Center or a $100 gift certificate to Aperturent. Follow @exposed_dc, @capitalphotographycenter, and @aperturent on Instagram and tag us in your images along with the #2023XDC hashtag to participate. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on June 30, 2023. Winners will be notified via DM before announcements are made on Instagram.

Terms & Conditions

The contest is open to residents of Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland who are 18 years of age or older, excluding anyone from the Exposed DC team, their families, or anyone professionally connected with the organizations participating. The contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram. No purchase necessary to enter or win.

To enter, you must follow @exposed_dc, @capitalphotographycenter, and @aperturent on Instagram. Share an image you capture while checking out the outdoor exhibition using the hashtag #2023XDC and tagging @exposed_dc, @capitalphotographycenter and @aperturent in the caption. Please note that only posts will be eligible, not stories. Entries will be accepted through June 30 at 11:59 p.m. EDT, and winners will be notified soon thereafter via Instagram.

Two prizes will be awarded to two winners for the Instagram Contest and provided electronically: one $100 gift certificate for Capital Photography Center and one $100 gift certificate to Aperturent.
