Sharing this capture by Rich Renomeron just in case you tried to resist getting out of bed this morning like I did.
These “street hearts” by Tim Brown show that we still love each other despite current events.
There is a lot of yes happening in this image by Colin Gilpin. It’s photographs like these that really make my brain smile—what great framing. I have one question though: Is the shadow behind the man with the apron from another person?
Anytime I see a pipe my art history brain thinks of the painting, The Treachery of Images, by René Magritte. Ceci n’est pas une pipe—this is not a pipe, but an image of a man on his phone. I want Clif Burns‘ photo to be timeless, but it is not. The subject’s clothes, his hair style, and his method of smoking tobacco may depict another point in time. However, he uses a modern form of communication, and a Parkmobile sign leans behind him.
Today is another good day for monochromatic color. Antwain Jackson wishes us some St. Patty’s Day luck on this August Monday.
