We have been following James Jackson (@thisisjamesj) for a while here at InstantDC. One of his photos is currently on display at our Fall Review show at the Washington School of Photography through October 31. His diversified style and quirky captions show his varied interests and artful eye. He has recently begun experimenting with film cameras, and we applaud the effort. His compositions keep improving as he continues to hone his vision taking photos around D.C. and beyond.

Through his non-square Instagram feed, the viewer gets to recombine the city’s varied patterns into an entirely unique mind-scape that is more than the sum of its parts.
