for the love of DC photography
As you might have noticed, the weather has consistently been a top story in the national news of late. Victoria Pickering‘s angular shot outside the Newseum would make an excellent lead photo for a story about the media and it’s meteorological obsession.
So remember that massive winter storm we had on Tuesday? Well obviously this photograph isn’t from then. This gorgeous black and white mosaic of a shot by David Rice is from a time when we had proper snow, in December 2009.
It may be very cold outside, but it didn’t stop photographer ep_jhu from making photographs yesterday. The shapes and lines in this photo look similar to sun rays, but the abstract wintry scene tells a very contrasting, chilly story.
