Though Halloween is all but a distant memory, Antwain Jackson added this amusing photo to the pool over the weekend. It’s so simple, it’s brilliant, with the distinctive D.C. Metro station ceiling design providing a familiar backdrop to the wonderfully silhouetted and sinister subject.
Photographer Messay Shoakena caught this scene at 900 7th St NW in Chinatown. We love the silhouette and the light flowing from the building onto the street.
It’s been a while since we’ve had an In Frame to share, and we’re happy to bring you this one. Photographer Noe Todorovich made great use of the frame in this black and white silhouette photo. The balance of the light and the vertical lines add nice geometric contrast to the image.
Victoria Pickering transformed an everyday scene in L’Enfant Plaza into a frame that could have been pulled from a Hitchcock movie, thanks to the slight movement of the silhouette and positioning of the woman in the frame, and to the excellent composition and drama of the photo.
