The DC History Conference is April 3-6 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. We’ll be at the History Network on Friday, April 4, in the lobby from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Plan to come through to say hello, flip through old exhibition programs, chat about photography in D.C., and hear about the Exposed DC Collection and upcoming launch event.

  • The DC Shoot Off Photojournalism Workshop is happening now and wrapping up tomorrow night.
  • StreetMeetDC will be at Rosslyn making their way from the metro stop to Gateway Park on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
  • Filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos shares what fuels his uncanny photos as he prepares for his debut photography exhibition.
  • Photoworks Gallery is hosting an artist meet and greet for the “Becoming Ourselves” exhibit tomorrow from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
  • World Press Photo announced the winners of the 2025 photo contest, showcasing some of the world’s best photojournalism and documentary photography.
  • Dupont Underground invited local photographers to showcase their favorite public spaces in DC as part of the “Common Ground, Common Future: Reimagining the Heart of the District” exhibit, on view through April 13.

  • A unanimous federal appeals court ruled that pictures generated solely by machines do not qualify for copyright protection.

  • Recipients of the 2025 ZEKE Awards were announced along with honorable mentions.
  • Join Nikon Ambassador, Kristi Odom, and Maryland PPA for an in-person event celebrating wildlife, art, and our planet’s biodiversity on April 26, as part of the MDPPA Annual Convention. Early bird pricing ends April 1 for all convention programs.
