There is a shot from Alfred Hitchcock’s movie, North by Northwest, that this image by @cuzsamiam reminds me of. I’ve always been obsessed with that image, and I love seeing geometric and artfully balances frames.

I have spent a lot of time kayaking on the Potomac River—there is a serenity that comes with paddling away from the city. Many photos are taken from the Key Bridge over looking the river featuring the color lines the human-powered boats create from the distance below. But this image by Makeeya Hazleton is a little different and elegantly composed with the greenery edging the frame, and a single boater near the center of the scene.

Joy Sharon Yi shares an image from her ongoing project about children living in public housing in Ward 8 neighborhood, Barry Farms. This scene excellently depicts the childhood summer nostalgia many of us remember—eating popsicles on hot summer days in parks, attempting to lick the cold sweets fast enough before they drip down our arms.

Holly Garner, founder of @IGDC, stands on the sea floor of the new immersive installation at The National Building Museum, ICEBERGS designed by James Corner Field Operations. The light in this portrait by Jarrett Hendrix is gorgeous—hitting her face in the most elegant way.
