In Frame: July 20, 2016

July 20, 2016 By Caroline Space

This view was made possible by @rei free weekend. I biked from U street to part of the Mount Vernon trail on Sunday! Thanks @capitalbikeshare! ? #unitedoutside #capitalbikeshare

I have spent a lot of time kayaking on the Potomac River—there is a serenity that comes with paddling away from the city. Many photos are taken from the Key Bridge over looking the river featuring the color lines the human-powered boats create from the distance below. But this image by Makeeya Hazleton is a little different and elegantly composed with the greenery edging the frame, and a single boater near the center of the scene.
