This marvelous shot of last night’s lunar eclipse is a perfect example of why we interviewed Phil Yabut for our Night Sky Photography for Beginners post. Did anyone else set the alarm early to watch the eclipse?
Photographer Phil Yabut caught these little ducklings doing their best Forrest Gump impression by jumping into the Reflecting Pool. We hope these cute D.C. residents had a good time.
We’re not used to seeing this much ice at Great Falls park. This photo by Phil Yabut shows just how cold it has been in the area, and how different the falls can look throughout the year. The snowy owl he photographed last week in downtown D.C. would be right at home (and at least safe from traffic) here.
