This photograph from John Ulaszek is all about the timing. The skateboarder’s full body is within the frame of the window, and it would look much different if his arm or leg were partially out of sight. The three levels of progressive dark to light add nicely to the layers of this image.
Seeing this shot from JY O’Reilly in our Flickr pool this morning just made me smile. But it’s not only the humor of the person leaping that makes this photo — add the blocks of coordinated colors, the recurring geometric shapes and the great framing, and you’ve got yourself a winner.
