This flattened, green landscape of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina unites the lush forest with the minimal grassy area in the lower right of Mimi d’Autremont‘s image. Part of a white, geometric fence at the bottom of the verdant frame adds a subtle element of design, delicately holding my focus.

For some reason this photo by Andrew Pasko-Reader made me laugh. Not only is green my favorite color, and it’s used in most of the negative space, but the man’s walk seems happy-go-lucky and reminds me of a song I used to sing from the Brady Bunch. It’s finally sunny and I can belt, “I think I’ll go for a walk outside now, the Summer Sun’s calling my name.”
