Great framing by Kaitlin Jencso in this very meta and slightly creepy image, creating tension and interest with the use of negative space and patches of contrasting colors.

I love the use of the tilt-shift-like effect in this image of the Exposed DC 10th Anniversary opening, shot by seasoned Exposed winner Paul Sirajuddin. It adds an unusual hazy, dream-like feel to the scene, not dissimilar to my own experience of the event! If you haven’t seen our earlier galleries of photos by Kristen Finn, then check out a small selection here, or the full set here.
Don’t forget you can still visit the exhibit at the Carnegie Library for free, Monday-Thursday, 10am-4pm, and Fridays, 10am-8pm, through Tuesday, March 29. You can also buy any of the photos via your smartphone while at the gallery, or online at your leisure!

This week’s set of Featured Instagrammers includes several nods to our upcoming 10th Anniversary Photography Show — a couple of photographers with work hanging in the exhibit, and two more who’ll be playing a big role with one of our partners at the big opening reception this Thursday, March 1.
