While we’ve been enjoying the gorgeous close-ups of our resident D.C. eagles and their new offspring, Phil has been keeping tabs on their neighboring cousins in Alexandria, Virginia. Based on his caption of this stunning shot, we can look forward to new arrivals for this raptor family before long!
According to National Geographic, Andy (yes, that is the name the U.S. Botanic Garden gave its corpse flower) bloomed while the place was closed, denying the general public the opportunity to enjoy its much-anticipated but short-lived stench.
