  • Exposed alum Chris Suspect will be hosting a 4-day photography workshop in Milan at the end of September.
  • Photographer Rafael Pavarotti went behind the scenes of Beyonce’s London performances at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a new feature for British Vogue.

  • JRNL 18 submissions are open to all types of analogue work through July 31 with an entry fee of $35 for submissions with up to 20 images in a series or two.
  • This week, U.S. Soccer announced a new multi-year joint partnership with Getty Images and International Sports Images.
  • The James Webb Space Telescope continues to re-envision the universe with the latest photo released showing the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex, the closest star-forming region to Earth.
  • Summer of StreetMeet kicks off on July 22 with StreetMeetMD’s first meet at Silver Spring followed by a StreetMeet Gallery at Anacostia Arts Center on July 29.

  • Winners of the third edition of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation’s Environmental Photography Award were announced this week.
  • First Fridays, the free art walk around Dupont Circle, is tonight from 6-8 p.m. Swing by Studio Gallery to see Beverly Logan’s “What We See” exhibit before it closes next weekend.
  • Women Photograph announced their 2023 mentorship class that pairs five early career photographers with an industry leader over the course of six months.
  • The Professional Photographers of America (PPA) is accepting submissions from PPA members through September 5 for the International Photographic Competition. There are 16 categories and $26,000 in cash prizes up for grabs. Entry fee is $49/image.
  • Touchstone Gallery is hosting an Attainable Art Show & Party on July 29. Tickets start at $75 and include the selection of artwork to be determined by your ticket level and a number selected upon entrance to the event.
  • An exhibition at the Tate Modern focuses on contemporary African photography and features 36 artists who represent different generations and mediums across the continent.
  • Rick Ruggles and Denis Wamaling’s “Pixels & Patterns” exhibition opens July 22 at the Prince George’s Sports & Learning Complex.
  • The Phase One XC medium format camera dons a 23mm fixed lens, a 150-megapixel sensor, and a $62,000 price tag.
