Thank You for Coming to Celebrate Exposed DC!

March 10, 2017 By Heather Goss

We were thrilled to see hundreds of you come out last night for the opening of the 11th annual Exposed DC Photography Show. We hope you enjoyed the celebration for the 43 winning images of the Washington, D.C. metro area. If you’d like to purchase any of the photos on display, you can do so here. You can also get a copy of our 2017 Exhibition Program online here or during any of the gallery hours during the exhibit run, which are free and open to all: Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., this weekend and next. The last day of the exhibit is Sunday, March 19.

Exposed DC offers our hearty thanks to new event space AJAX for hosting our exhibit, to Framebridge for doing such a wonderful job printing and framing the images, to Bluejacket for once again providing delicious local craft beer, and to DJ v:shal kanwar for keeping us on the beat all night. Basecamp DC provides our printing services, and Johanna Ostrich designs our exhibition programs.

We also want to thank our fantastic photographer for the evening, Erika Nizborski, who you can also hire for your event, wedding, and lifestyle photography. Enjoy a small gallery of her work above; we’ll have a big gallery from the evening for you to peruse next week.

In Frame: Gutters & Gargoyles

September 12, 2016 By Heather Goss

On Saturday night, 90 photographers came out to explore the eaves, belltower, and Nave of the Washington National Cathedral, followed by a concert by two great bands, Sarah Borges & the Broken Singles and local outfit Broke Royals, in a room filled with music-themed photography that we hand-plucked from all of you. We had a fantastic time and an even better time looking through all the photos the attendees have posted already. You can find them all by searching social media for #gutterbugs and #exposeddc. Our enormous thanks go to Dan Rose and his team at the Cathedral for bringing this opportunity to us–we certainly hope it won’t be the last.

Enjoy the gallery below of the crazy gargoyles and beautiful sunsets that everyone found on Saturday.

10 Year Retrospective – Exposed DC at Crystal City Fotowalk

May 5, 2016 By exposeddc

Exposed DC at Crystal City Fotowalk

We’re keeping our 10th anniversary celebration going with a retrospective of Exposed DC photos! We partnered with the Crystal City Business Improvement District to exhibit a selection of Exposed winners from the last decade in the Crystal City Fotowalk Underground. Join us May 6, 2016 for an Exposed DC happy hour in the Synetic Theater Lobby, along with full celebration of local art in the underground, with receptions at ArtJamz and Road Trip Gallery, a dedication of Mural 23, and an open house at Synetic Theater’s rehearsal studio.

Walk around and enjoy some art, take a look back at 10 years of amazing local photography (printed HUGE – they look amazing!), and then join us in the theater for a drink.

If you can’t make it to happy hour, you can go see the exhibit anytime through the end of August 2016.
