"I've been taking L's all my life" by Tadael Tadael
I’ve been taking L’s all my life by Tadael Tadael

Flickr user Tadael Tadael “caught these two gentlemen reminiscing in Dupont Circle.” They seem like old friends, he suggested. I think he’s right. I am drawn to images of nostalgia—they make me feel warm and comforted. Here, that same warmth and comfort are reflected by the quality of light cast on the two men. The tone of the image suggests an older generation of photography, in which film was the only way to capture an image.
