Great Falls in the Fog by John Marciano
Great Falls in the Fog by John Marciano

For me architecture and nature are synonymous—the environment around buildings is intrinsically important to the space structures are built on. But recently, I’ve had this profound attraction towards landscape photography. John Marciano’s image of Great Falls captures the allure and emotion that draws me increasingly closer to nature. The scenes are not constructed by humans and it’s our job to find the beauty and framing for each image, whereas architectural spaces are environments created by an architect’s vision, which pushes us to see a place in a certain way.
