  • A juried photography contest disqualified one of the images originally picked as a top three finisher in its new AI art category for being taken by a human. Oh, how the tables have turned.
  • Union 206 is hosting a networking event on June 29; tickets are free but limited.
  • Nominees for the Drone Photo Awards have been announced with winners of each category to be announced in September.
  • Apollo 8 astronaut Bill Anders, who captured one of the most famous photographs taken in outer space, died earlier this month in a plane crash at the age of 90.
  • James Casebere builds miniature models that he captures atop a table in his studio; some of his work addresses the rapidly rising seas that have become a visual synonym for the climate crisis and emphasizes the human impact of a changed planet.
