  • Out with the overly-staged photos that Instagram practically defined, in with grainy filters and “reality.”
  • Trump has a “soft spot” for the White House press pool photographers.
  • Head to Creative Hands Studio on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. for “Reflection” The Community Collective Pop-Up Series Vol.5, featuring 10 photographers including several Exposed alumni.
  • Leica Store DC is having a used-buy day on Sunday from 12-4 p.m.
  • Focus on the Story announced the winners of their 2019 awards in both the series category and the single image category.
  • Exposed alum Chris Suspect will be leading a street photography workshop May 29-31 as part of Focus on the Story, and images taken by students will be part of a slideshow shown during the opening reception Friday night. Please note that the workshop has a separate registration and does not require festival registration.
  • Two gorillas who were taken in as young orphans posed with their caretakers in this excellent selfie gone viral this week.
