  • Multiple Exposures Gallery is holding a gallery membership information session tonight at 7 p.m. during Second Friday and evening hours at the Torpedo Factory Art Center.

  • In recognition of Alexandria’s 275th birthday, the city launched a photo contest and is accepting up to five images per person with a deadline of November 1.
  • Reserve a spot for Community Cyanotypes, an event conceptualized by a local artist and supported by a grant from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, on August 24 from noon to 4 p.m., free and open to the public.
  • Lost Origins Gallery is partnering with the Fredericksburg and DC Street Photography Collectives to hold a street photography shoot-off on September 21.
  • Catch the Fleeting Moments Street Photography II exhibit at Athenaeum Gallery through September 22. Visit on August 18 for the artist reception.
  • Dodge Chrome is holding a Capture the Summer photo contest with a deadline of September 30. You can enter 3 photos in each category: travel/a place I love, weather phenomenon, and pops of color.
