  • A collection of aerial photographs taken during the Second World War have been opened to the public for the first time.
  • Exposed alum Robb Hill is teaching a 6-week narrative landscape course with Photoworks starting September 7 with a total cost of $400. Lots of other classes are starting up soon, so be sure to check the full schedule.
  • A glowing, prismatic nervous system of a sea star won the Global Image of the Year Scientific Light Microscopy Award.
  • A major Chinese photo agency is demanding an astrophotographer pay $12,000 to use his own photos after he posted his work to social media platform Weibo.
  • Roland L. Freeman, a resident of the District and photographer who documented Black life and culture for more than 50 years, died at 87.
