Join us for our next happy hour at Bar Deco on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., which will be a collaboration with Focus on the Story! We thought it’d be neat to feature various local photography organizations and groups during our monthly happy hours and will be kicking that off next week. Hope to see you there!

  • Head to Big Bear Cafe for Stop Motion Vol 7 on Tuesday, 7-9 p.m. to catch the street photography themed slideshow and pick up some zines.
  • A look at auction data from the past five and a half years shows some interesting trends for photographic works, including photography prices being the most affordable in a long time.
  • Profoto announced its lineup of compact studio lights…for mobile photography, specifically iPhone 7 or later.
  • The 12th annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival: Arts & Ales is tomorrow, 12-6 p.m. Support local photographers and other artists while sipping on some local brews.
  • Photographer and filmmaker Frederick Paxton plans to take a look at complex systems of government and geopolitics through the lens of sports.
  • Would you like to see photos of a squirrel holding and smelling a flower? Of course you would.
