  • Earlier this week, Focus on the Story announced the plan for 2020; get ready for another month-long celebration of photography in D.C.
  • “Live Dangerously,” an exhibit featuring 12 photographers who explore the ways female bodies inhabit and activate the natural world, opens at the National Museum of Women in the Arts on Thursday.
  • Legendary photographer Robert Frank died this week at the age of 94.
  • Join Nubian Hueman for an artist talk featuring the curator and photographers of the Photo Noir exhibition on Thursday, 6 p.m.
  • Apple announced the latest iPhone earlier this week, with Pro and Pro Max models that have three cameras, each with 12-megapixel resolution and different focal lengths.
  • Mayor Muriel Bowser apparently locked the D.C. Commission on Arts and Humanities out of the city’s art vault last week in an attempt to seize it, in an ongoing drama between the two offices over control of the arts budget.
  • The Washington Post Express, the free commuter paper, shut down this week. Long live The Express.
