  • Join Focus on the Story on Tuesday, October 23 at Johns Hopkins SAIS for a panel discussion with documentary photographer James Whitlow Delano and Professor Tanvi Nagpal followed by a photography exhibit and reception.
  • Photoworks at Glen Echo Park will be hosting a fundraiser tomorrow from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $100/person or $150 for two people. You can also review the online auction catalog here.
  • Five established photographers share their picks for new photographers who have grabbed their attention.
  • Head to Colony Club tomorrow from 7-10 p.m. for an exhibit on the theme of “Dreams of Foreign Places.” The show features 20 local amateur photographers and aims to be a social experience that engages artists and attendees in the stories behind the images.   • Sheila Pree Bright’s new book, “#1960Now: Photographs of Civil Rights Activists and Black Lives Matter Protests” documents recent activism through the lens of history.
  • The World Press Photo Exhibition is coming to D.C. October 27 through November 25, with an opening reception on Friday, October 26.
